How to Completely Uninstall Riot Client?

If you have any games associated with Riot Client, you can uninstall them from Settings. Any left games can stop the uninstallation. Then, let’s start.

1. Uninstall Riot Client from Settings

The installed Riot games and Riot Client will be listed in the Apps. To uninstall them from Settings, you need to stop the related background processes from Task Manager first. Make sure you have closed all of them.

Open the C drive and if you see the Riot Games folder, permanently delete it. Alternatively, it may exist in this path: C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\Riot Games.

3. Delete Registry Keys Related to Riot Client

This move is riskier compared to the last two steps. We recommend you create a restore point for your system first, because any mistaken deletion in Registry Editor may cause serious system issues, or you can back up your registry before proceeding. As for this move, if you can’t 100% make sure the key is related to Riot Games, then don’t make any changes to it.

Step 1: Open Run by pressing Win + I and type regedit to click OK.

Step 2: Click Edit > Find… and in the Find what box, input Riot and click Find Next to search for any related keys.
